Well, today was the day i finally decided to lose the locks........ the dread locks, that is, not the locks to my house!!!  It came with a mix of emotions; joy- that i wouldnt have what felt like a couple of bags of sugar on the back of my head during and after every surf; sadness- after all my hard work for the past six years was snipped away so quickly and so cruely; tears -  oh, and half a tonne of sand from the many places in the world that they had been harbouring all this time!!!  I have no regrets in getting them or cutting them off; the time was right for me but i truly am going to miss them. R.I.P Shelley with the dreads!!!!!!
